I have been enjoying rooting pineapple plants for several years now, but this is the first time I’ve ever seen these "little nubby things" below the pineapple on the stem. Can you tell me what that is? There are two on this plant. Thank you.

Basically, these are little plants that grow on the flower stalk called slips. As the small nubs grow, they will form a small pineapple plant. These can be removed and rooted and used to grow more pineapple plants. Click here for more information on growing a pineapple plant.
