Damaged Citrus Fruit

What is wrong with my limes and lemons? They look awful.

This is bird damage. The fruit will still ripen normally – just won’t be quite as pretty. You may prevent or reduce additional damage by covering your trees with bird netting. You will find this available at your local nurseries.
