They have licensed the Louisiana Low Turbulence (LLT) Clarifier, a sugarcane clarifier technology developed by Vadim Kochergen and Cy Gaudet of the Audubon Sugar Institute. Built using Cromgard stainless steel, the clarifier reduces retention time and increases efficiency by more quickly separating solid particles from raw sugarcane juice and allowing more clear juice to pass through the system.
Crompion International was established by George M. Schaffer, an LSU graduate, in 2000 and has offices in Baton Rouge and Colorado Springs.
