Welcome from Global Network!

sarah bernardjpgWe’re so happy that you’ve chosen to spend time at LSU with the LSU AgCenter. We are sure that your time in Baton Rouge will be fulfilling both personally and professionally. We at Global Network are here to arrange the logistics of your visiting scholar program and to answer any questions along the way. Our faculty, leaders in agricultural research and technology transfer, host between 20 and 50 visiting scholars each year, producing international leaders in research and extension. I personally have enjoyed working with individuals from over 30 different countries and look forward to creating many more LSU tigers around the globe! I encourage you to make the most of your stay and make lasting connections with our world-class faculty and your fellow students and research interns- maybe you’ll consider Graduate Studies here at LSU! Be sure to try our renowned Cajun, Creole, and American cuisine and take in the sights and sounds of Louisiana’s beautiful natural scenery, stunning architecture, lively festivals, and warm culture. Our goal at the AgCenter Global Network is to make your visiting scholar program as successful and memorable as possible, and we sincerely hope that you enjoy your time at LSU. You will learn many things here at the LSU AgCenter, but let me be the first to teach you a phrase that you will hear often at LSU and take with you wherever you go in your future: Geaux Tigers!

Sincerely,

Sarah Bernard
