Visiting Scholars

Louisiana State University (LSU) is a major flagship university located in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, that provides comprehensive academic, research, and cultural opportunities. The LSU Agricultural Center, with its focus on research and extension, discovers and delivers the latest scientific developments for agriculture, natural resources, food, and the environment to the communities of Louisiana, the United States, and the world.

Through LSU AgCenter international programs, the LSU Agricultural Center facilitates international collaboration in agricultural research, extension, teaching, and practical training. Our programs link students, researchers, and administrators from around the globe with leaders at LSU and provide opportunities to develop and apply expertise at their home institutions.

The LSU AgCenter Visiting Scholar Program cultivates research skills and facilitates global connections for students and emerging professionals from many parts of the globe. We help to develop global leaders in agriculture, natural resources, food, and the environment by participating in several USDA and EU-sponsored training programs, including the Borlaug Fellowship and Erasmus+.
