NEAFCS important

To apply for the following awards, association dues must be paid to the LEAFCS Treasurer

New Professional Award Qualifications:

  • The applicant may not have previously attended NEAFCS Annual Session.
  • The applicant must be in the first three years from date of employment with Extension Service.
  • The award recipient must attend the Annual Session where the award is presented. If the recipient is unable to attend the Annual Session, the award is forfeited.
  • The recipient must be employed in the Cooperative Extension System at the time of the Annual Session when the award is presented.
  • Applicants should follow NEAFCS Guidelines to apply.

Family Health and Wellness Award Qualifications

  • Application may be submitted by an individual or a team.
  • The program or activity shall have been conducted in the past three years.
  • First place national winner will participate in the Showcase of Excellence at annual sessions the year after the award is received to show evidence of the completed project.
  • Applicants should follow NEAFCS Guidelines to apply.

Betty Jane Fairchild Award Qualifications:

  • Applicant must have 3 to 10 years of LEAFCS membership and cannot receive the same award two consecutive years.
  • Complete and submit Betty Jane Fairchild Award application and submit to LEAFCS Special Awards Chair by February 15, 2024.

Maxine Reeves Award Qualifications:

  • All members for LEAFCS are eligible to apply. However, the award cannot be received more than once.
  • Complete and submit Maxine Reeve Award application and submit to LEAFCS Special Awards Chair by February 15, 2024.
  • The nominee must apply for a NEAFCS award, agree to serve on a NEAFCS committee, or accept a program assignment at the national meeting.
