2012 State Science and Engineering Fair Junior Division Gamma Sigma Delta Award Winners

Abigail Jenkins and Brandi Mowen from Fifth Ward Junior High School (St. Tammany Parish) won Gamma Sigma Delta's First Place Award in the Junior Division for their presentation titled, "Egg-stra! Egg-stra! (or not?)."

Anna Jang of Glasgow Middle School (East Baton Rouge Parish) won Gamma Sigma Delta's Third Place Award in the Junior Division for her presentation titled, "MSG without MSG."

Bonnie Woods from Logansport Elementary School (DeSoto Parish) won Gamma Sigma Delta's Second Place Award in the Junior Division for her presentation titled, "Worms Ate My Garbage: Miracle Gro vs. Worm Compost."

BATON ROUGE – LSU hosted the 2012 Region VII Science and Engineering Fair March 26-27 in the LSU Student Union’s Royal Cotillion Ballroom. The fair consisted of regional winners from across the state who presented their projects to judges. Top winners will represent Louisiana in the International Science & Engineering Fair to be held in Pittsburgh, Penn., in May. Gamma Sigma Delta presented First, Second and Third Place awards for projects relating to agriculture. Gamma Sigma Delta award winners in the Junior Division are:
