The LSU AgCenter is pleased to welcome all international employees to our campus. The AgCenter Office of Human Resources Management team is committed to providing comprehensive immigration support to our faculty and scholars. We offer assistance with visa processes and access to resources designed to help you succeed.
Below are the visa classifications commonly used by the AgCenter, instructions to units regarding the processing of immigration related documents, and the policies which govern this program.
It is the practice of the LSU AgCenter, in accordance with LSU PM-26, to provide sponsorship for permanent residency requests only for full-time employees who are in tenured or tenure track faculty positions. With the exception of fees required to be employer paid, payment of all legal fees, as well as application and/or filing fees for permanent residency are the responsibility of the employee. Employees who are in term or non-tenure track positions and/or who are funded via soft money are generally not eligible for sponsorship. An employee or unit head who would like to inquire about the options for sponsorship must reach out to AgCenter HR prior to starting the process.
