(04/14/26) BATON ROUGE, La. — The East Baton Rouge Master Gardeners will present two popular programs on Thursday, May 14, at the Greenwell Springs Library at 11300 Greenwell Springs Road. The first is Growing Roses, and the second is Succulents.

Master Gardener Whitney Briggs will be on hand to show attendees how to be successful with roses in south Louisiana, including the various types, growing considerations and how to choose the best rose for each garden.

Master Gardener Nancy Jurasinski has loved plants since she was a little girl helping her dad in the garden. Succulents are some of the most popular plants today mainly because they require so little care. Attendees will learn about the vast variety and differences of all the succulents that are available today.

The first program will begin at 6:30 p.m. They are free and open to the public.
