Children’s Garden Party series at Burden continues with “Pollinators!” event April 18

(04/01/26) BATON ROUGE, La. — East Baton Rouge Master Gardeners invite families to celebrate the vital creatures that help our gardens grow at the next installment of the Children’s Garden Party event series.

The upcoming session, “Pollinators!”, will be held Saturday, April 18, from 9 to 11 a.m. at the LSU AgCenter Botanic Gardens at Burden.

This free, family‑friendly morning of outdoor fun encourages children to explore, create and learn about pollinators through hands‑on activities. Guests can enjoy:

  • A pollinator‑themed scavenger hunt
  • Live beehive demonstrations
  • Seed planting
  • Seedball making
  • Temporary tattoos
  • Timed garden‑themed races
  • Interactive stations throughout the garden

The event will be held at the Children’s Garden, a whimsical learning garden designed to connect children with nature through play and exploration.
