With metribuzin being a widely used herbicide in Louisiana sugarcane, several formulations are available. Often, growers need to calculate equivalent application rates for dry flowable (75% active ingredient) and liquid (3- or 4-pound active ingredient per gallon of product) formulations. Table 1 provides a breakdown of equivalent application rates for three formulations of metribuzin.
