2027 Get It Growing calendar submissions due March 31

(03/05/26) BATON ROUGE, La. — The deadline to turn in photo submissions for the LSU AgCenter’s 2027 Get It Growing Lawn & Garden Calendar is quickly approaching.

The deadline to submit is March 31.

Forty photos will be selected by project coordinator Elma Sue McCallum and AgCenter faculty.

“We encourage all Louisiana photographers who enjoy gardening to share their photos of flowers, plants, trees and garden landscapes for consideration in the LSU AgCenter 2027 Get It Growing calendar,” McCallum said. “This calendar has a long tradition of offering helpful tips for both seasoned and novice gardeners along with beautiful images that celebrate the joy of gardening.”

Photographers of any level of experience are welcome to submit their best photos for consideration.

Only 12 photos will be used as full-page images for each month’s page in the calendar, and one will be used on the cover, McCallum said. The others will be used throughout the calendar.

The photographers that have taken photos for the featured monthly pages will receive five copies of the calendar, and their names will be included with their photos. All other contributors will receive two copies of the published calendar, and their names will be listed with their photos.

Entries must be high-resolution, digital images and submitted online at https://tinyurl.com/GIGCal2027.

Images must be the original work of the submitting photographer. Each person is asked to limit their entries to 25 or fewer of their best photos.

Submission guidelines can be found at www.LSUAgCenter.com/GetItGrowingCalendar.

The 2026 edition of the calendar, a showcase of photos, monthly gardening tips, how-to information and other items based on Louisiana’s climate zones, is on sale now online at www.LSUAgCenter.com/OnlineStore.
