(03/05/26) BATON ROUGE, La. — The LSU AgCenter’s annual educational event, AgMagic, is returning to Baton Rouge and the Greater New Orleans area this spring. The interactive program teaches visitors about Louisiana agriculture with hands-on exhibits and activities.
For over 20 years, AgMagic has brought students, teachers and parents on an informative journey with hands-on activities and exhibits. With the help of AgCenter experts, visitors can learn about the important roles that crops, forestry, animals, insects, aquaculture and nutrition all play in their daily lives.
“As one of the LSU AgCenter’s long-standing educational traditions, AgMagic Baton Rouge showcases the essential role agriculture plays in our daily lives,” said Hannah Devall, AgCenter animal science and agricultural literacy and awareness specialist. “Through interactive experiences and science-based learning, we continue our commitment to cultivating curiosity, understanding and appreciation in every visitor.”
AgMagic on the River will take place at Docville Farm in Violet. Registered school groups will visit the event between March 17 and 20, and it will open to the public March 21 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
AgMagic in Baton Rouge will take place at LSU’s Parker Coliseum. School tours will be from March 23 to 27, and the exhibit will open to the public on March 28 and 29 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
AgMagic will be in central Louisiana and Shreveport in the fall.
