Fairness means treating people equally, playing by the rules, and giving everyone a chance. In 4-H, Fairness helps create a respectful and inclusive environment where all members feel valued. What does Fairness look like? It is taking turns and sharing opportunities, listening to all sides before making decisions, following rules and encouraging others to do the same, avoiding favoritism or excluding others, and accepting outcomes gracefully, win or lose.
Forests influence the water cycle through a process called transpiration. Trees absorb water through their roots which is later released as water vapor from their leaves. This water vapor accumulates into clouds until it falls down again as rain, snow, or hail. Transpiration from plants is significant. A large oak tree can give off 40,000 gallons per year.
