Exciting things are happening in St. Helena 4-H this October! We’re kicking off our annual Sweet Potato Sale Fundraiser—an opportunity to support local youth programs while enjoying delicious Louisiana-grown produce. Our members will also be heading out on field trips across the parish to visit local farms and learn firsthand about agriculture and sustainability. In addition, we’re preparing to launch school gardens at several sites, giving students a chance to grow their own food and deepen their connection to the environment. With enrollment numbers steadily rising, it’s clear that 4-H is thriving in St. Helena Parish!

Volunteer Spotlight

We are so grateful for Ms. Brumsfield’s dedication and enthusiasm at the Early Learning Center! As a key volunteer during Cloverbuds Nutrition and Gardening Enrichment Time, she brings joy, patience, and hands-on support to our youngest learners. Whether helping little hands plant seeds or guiding them through healthy food choices, Ms. Brumsfield’s nurturing presence makes a lasting impact. Her commitment to growing both gardens and minds is truly appreciated!
