Additional
Job Information: Knowledge of the community to include living within the
assigned parish (currently or previously) is required; Recruit and enroll
limited resource school-aged youth and adults who meet the federal
eligibility guidelines to participate in EFNEP; Will teach and lead
nutrition education classes and activities in the community to target
audiences; Will establish and maintain partnerships to extend EFNEP
outreach with agencies and organizations that serve eligible audiences; High
school diploma or equivalent is required; Must have and maintain a valid
driver’s license and insured automobile; Must be able to demonstrate basic
computer skills and effective verbal, written, and listening skills; Must
be able to transport supplies and equipment (up to 30 lbs.); Will travel
daily within parish(s) assigned and occasional out of parish for
professional development and training; May work flexible hours including
early mornings, evenings, and/or weekends for nutrition education classes
or participate in community events promoting health and nutrition.
