Steve White’s three decades of service have shaped the Calcasieu Parish 4-H program and beyond. His journey began with a love for livestock, and today, he leads as President of both the Calcasieu 4-H Foundation and Junior Livestock Advisory Board. Steve played a pivotal role in securing a $45,000 scholarship fund from Phillips 66, helping make 4-H accessible to more youth. He supports over 300 youth and 100 volunteers through the parish livestock program and serves on regional and state livestock committees. His leadership has helped launch clubs like the parish Fishing Club and secure upgrades to 4-H facilities. Steve’s generosity includes funding, volunteering at shows, and mentoring youth through scholarship interviews and project work. Even after his own children aged out of the program, Steve remained deeply involved, embodying the spirit of lifelong service. His legacy is one of mentorship, vision, and a deep passion for empowering Louisiana’s 4-H youth.
