Patsy Sonnier has dedicated over 25 years to serving Lafayette Parish 4-H as a club leader, mentor, event coordinator, and contest judge. Since 1998, she has led her 4-H club with passion, mentoring both youth and new leaders through innovative programs. She created a mentoring pilot that pairs seasoned volunteers with new ones, increasing retention and engagement. Patsy organized the Fall Fest for over two decades, managing logistics, recruiting volunteers, and creating an inclusive, fun environment for more than 200 participants annually. Her efforts have reached more than 1,500 youth directly through workshops, community service, and leadership training. Known for her compassion and support of underprivileged youth, she ensures all members have access to supplies and opportunities. With nearly 10,000 hours of service credited to her club members, Patsy has fostered a culture of giving and growth. Her leadership and heart have made her a cherished champion of 4-H.
