Building Analyst Technician - BPI Certification Training

Course Information:

This Building Performance Institute (BPI) certification training involves comprehensive, hands-on practice in whole-home analysis, including exterior and interior visual inspections, measurements, blower door testing, mechanical ventilation testing, combustion appliance testing, and safety inspections. The training concludes with a field exam administered by a BPI proctor.
*In order to qualify for this test, you must currently have a valid Building Science Principles Certificate. Please email this certificate to the Manager of Training, Pam Lewandowski at plewandowski@agcenter.lsu.edu.

This course fee includes:

  • Hands-on training for 1.5 days
  • One half day of hands on practice with equipment and testing protocol (with instructor)
  • A proctored field exam (4 hours max unless candidate has pre-approval from BPI for accommodations)
  • Field guide for use during the field exam

Who should attend?

Energy efficiency professionals, professionals involved with construction or retrofitting, private contractors, and home inspectors

Certification: This certification is provided through Building Performance Institute (BPI) and is a prerequisite for Building Analyst - Professional certification.

Class is held from 8:00-4:00 at the Louisiana Housing Corporation BPI Test Center at 11637 Industriplex Blvd, Baton Rouge, 70809.

Cost:
$1600.00 per person
Note: All fees must be received and cleared prior to the start of class or attendance may be denied or testing withheld.
