(04/17/25) BATON ROUGE, LA. — The East Baton Rouge Master Gardeners are launching a new educational event series designed for children and families: the Children’s Garden Party.
The first edition, “Going Buggy!,” will take place Saturday, April 26, from 9 to 11 a.m. at the Pollinator Playground in the LSU AgCenter Botanic Gardens.
This free event invites children to explore the buzzing, fluttering world of pollinators and beneficial insects through hands-on, engaging activities. The event will include live beehive demonstrations, a build-your-own bee hotel activity, butterfly discovery stations, bug-themed arts and crafts, garden story time and fresh fruit and vegetable tastings.
The event will be held at the Pollinator Playground, a whimsical learning garden designed to connect children with nature through play and exploration. No registration is required.
