(04/04/25) BATON ROUGE, La. — The East Baton Rouge Master Gardeners Association will present a program on cutting gardens and growing herbs on April 24 at the Carver Branch Library located at 720 Terrace St.
Joy Boudreaux has been a Master Gardener since 2011 and presently works in growing the plants sold at the Master Gardener plant sale. She will show many of the tricks she has learned in selecting and growing plants that will produce wonderful flowers you can use to grace a home.
The herb portion of the program will be presented by Master Gardener Kathy Mullin, who likes to divide herbs into those that are easy to grow, those that need some special care, seasonal ones and those that can be very challenging.
In addition, Mullin will provide information on how to preserve herbs by drying or freezing and even some crafty things you can do with herbs.
The program will begin at 5:30 p.m. It is free and open to the public.
