EBR Master Gardeners presents orchids, April 10 at the Zachary branch library

(03/21/25) ZACHARY, La. — East Baton Rouge Master Gardeners will be presenting one of their most popular topics at the Zachary library on Thursday, April 10. Kathy Conerly will tell you everything you wanted to know about orchids.

There are many different types of orchids and each has its own special needs. Conerly will show you pictures of the many varieties of orchids and what makes each special. Have you always had difficulty keeping yours alive or getting them to bloom? She will share her tricks with you. What about propagating them? Conerly will even demonstrate how to do it. And she always has an abundance of orchids to give away because she is very good at making them multiply.

Conerly is a Master Gardener and taught high schoolers horticulture for 30 years, and she does a wonderful job of presenting a topic she just loves to talk about.

The Zachary branch library is located at 1900 Church Street in Zachary. The program will begin at 5:30 p.m. and is free and open to the public.
