Breathe Easy: Ventilation and Moisture Management

Course Information:

This course provides an in-depth examination of ventilation systems and their critical role in maintaining indoor air quality and managing moisture levels within homes. Participants will explore:

  • Ventilation Codes: Understanding the regulations that govern residential ventilation systems.
  • Measurement Techniques: Methods for assessing ventilation effectiveness.
  • Ventilation Options: Strategies for increasing and balancing airflow.
  • Indoor Air Quality: Identifying common concerns and implementing solutions.
  • Moisture Mitigation: Techniques to control and reduce indoor moisture.

Ideal for homeowners and professionals alike, this course equips you with the knowledge to optimize your home's air quality and ensure a healthier living environment.

Continuing education credits will be provided for Building Performance Institute, Louisiana State Board of Contractors (Residential), Louisiana State Board of Home Inspectors. Please let us know if credits are needed for other organizations. A certificate of course completion will be provided at the end of the course.

Class is held from 1:00-4:00pm in the Teaching Center of LaHouse Resource Center, located on 3622 Gourrier Ave., Baton Rouge, La. 70820 (directly across from LSU Alex Box Baseball Stadium).

Cost:
$200 registration fee for professionals; $50 for homeowners (certificates/credits will not be given for homeowners in attendance)
