(02/25/25) BATON ROUGE, La. — Spring has sprung, and everyone is ready to go out into the garden and make their yards beautiful. The East Baton Rouge Master Gardener Association is here to help you get started on Thursday, March 13, at the Jones Creek Library, 6222 Jones Creek Road.
Pollinator gardens are popular these days, and Master Gardener Carol Paine will be discussing them in detail. Not only will she show the many plants that attract pollinators, but she will also explain the whole process and why it is so important to our environment.
Next, Master Gardener Gaynelle Wolf will introduce the many native plants that would love to take over a south Louisiana garden. She loves to experiment with different plants in her garden and help others have success in theirs. Using native plants not only makes gardening easier, but it is also helpful to all the animals that live in and around our yards. Find out which native plants you may want to include in your landscape this year.
The presentations will start at 6:30 p.m. and are free and open to the public.
