Take an interactive journey through agriculture at AgMagic in Baton Rouge, New Orleans in March

(02/21/25) BATON ROUGE, La. — The LSU AgCenter is once again gearing up for AgMagic, its signature educational event that takes visitors on an interactive journey through Louisiana agriculture. AgMagic events will be held in Baton Rouge and the Greater New Orleans area in March.

Through hands-on exhibits and activities, AgMagic has taught children and adults alike about several facets of agriculture for more than 20 years. Visitors can have fun while learning about the important roles that crops, forestry, animals, insects, aquaculture and nutrition all play in their daily lives.

“As a youth development professional with a love for Louisiana agriculture, AgMagic is an event near and dear to my heart,” said Hannah Devall, AgCenter animal science and agricultural literacy and awareness specialist. “We look forward to welcoming students from surrounding parishes to this event for them to gain a first-hand experience that brings Louisiana agriculture to life.”

AgMagic on the River will be held at Docville Farm in Violet. Registered school groups will visit the event between March 18 and 21, and it will open to the public March 22.

School tours of AgMagic in Baton Rouge will take place from March 24 to 28 at LSU’s Parker Coliseum, opening to the public March 29 and 30.

AgMagic will hit the road in the fall, bringing the experience to Alexandria and Shreveport.
