The Master Cattlemen Program is returning for 2025, offering a valuable opportunity for cattle producers in Northeast Louisiana. This program, designed to enhance knowledge and skills in cattle management, will run from March 3 to May 5, featuring a series of expert-led sessions.
Each session will be led by experts from the LSU AgCenter, providing insights and practical knowledge to help improve cattle operations. Whether you are a seasoned cattle producer or just starting out, this program offers valuable information for everyone.
Established in 2004, the Louisiana Master Cattleman Program aims to help beef cattle and forage producers enhance their production and profitability through a 10-week, educational curriculum-based program. Participants must complete 30 hours of instruction to become certified Louisiana Master Cattlemen. The registration fee of $200 includes teaching materials, meals, a certificate of completion, and a certified LA Master Cattleman sign. Additionally, participants will receive National Beef Quality Assurance certification as part of the curriculum.
