Caldwell will camp this year with Caddo, Catahoula, Concordia, DeSoto, East Carroll, Madison, Tensas, and Webster parishes. While at camp 4-H'ers can participate in activity tracks involving food and fitness, science, engineering and technology, gardening, the arts, outdoor adventures, stand-up paddle boarding, and Louisiana wetlands. Campers will also have free recreational time to swim, take part in archery, create handcrafted items, go canoeing or kayaking, play sand volleyball, kickball, board games, go tubing and more. Evening programs are fun and filled with skits, talent shows, vespers, and dances.
Camp lasts four days, starting on Monday afternoon when the boys and girls arrive and ends on Thursday afternoon when campers return home. 4-H is a learning experience that helps boys and girls appreciate the outdoors, live together as a group, get along with others and appreciate people with different interests and backgrounds. Caring for your home and taking care of home maintenance saves time in the long run. This includes keeping your home clean, doing routing tasks, and taking action to keep your home safe and prevent accidents. A clean and organized home creates a healthful and safer environment. Creating daily habits to care for your home is an easy way to manage tasks efficiently.
There's a reason we treasure our state and national parks, waterways, and beaches. Think of the times you enjoyed a great sunrise or sunset, took a scenic hike, rode your bike in a park, played in the snow, or just took a walk around your neighborhood. There is something to our relationship with the outdoors that makes us feel good, if we can allow ourselves a few minutes not to rush or be disturbed by our ring tones.
Membership and participation in activities and events are open to all citizens without regard to race, color, national origin, gender, religion, age, veteran status, or disability. If you have a disability that requires an ADA accommodation to participate, please contact our office at 318-649-2663. Louisiana 4-H is an educational program of the LSU AgCenter. The LSU AgCenter and LSU provide equal opportunities in programs and employment.
