(06/22/23) BATON ROUGE, La. — The LSU AgCenter LaHouse Research and Education Center will host its first Saturday open house since 2019 on Saturday, July 22 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
LaHouse has over 250 exhibits and displays that demonstrate techniques and solutions for resilient, sustainable and healthy homes in the Gulf of Mexico region. Topics range from hurricane preparedness, energy efficiency, indoor air quality and integrated pest management.
Visitors can explore the house and take advantage of free publications and resources from the AgCenter.
LaHouse director Carol Friedland is thrilled to welcome the public back to experience all the facility has to offer.
“We are so excited to bring back the seasonal open houses to share our new offerings and exhibits with the public,” Friedland said. “From small repairs to larger renovations, LaHouse has information to assist homeowners in making practical decisions that are also best suited for Louisiana’s climate and hazards.”
