No Cap: Spreading Truth & Authenicity

The St. John the Baptist Parish proudly presents No Cap: Spreading Truth & Authenticity About The Things That Matter. This FREE hands-on educational series geared towards teens will focus on learning how to effectively convey your message during difficult conversations, how to capitalize on your personal brand, learn technics to cope with your mental health, and how to be change agents today and not tomorrow. All sessions will take place at Norris J. Millet, Sr. Library in LaPlace, LA, from 1:00 p.m. - 2:30 p.m. and participates can register for as many sessions as they'd like.

Session Topics:

  • July 8, 2023 - Communication - Communicating with others is an art and is essential. This session will feature ways to convey your message effectively and teach you how to have difficult conversations that matter to you.
  • July 15, 2023 - Personal Branding - Have you ever imagined what you look like to others? This session will focus on forming your own personal brand and capitalizing on it.
  • July 22, 2023 - Mental Health - Your mental health matters! You will learn more about mental health and discover effective coping strategies during this session.
  • July 29, 2023 - Advocacy - Do you want to see change around you? This session will give you the tools necessary to advocate for change within your community.
