The window above the shower is a Low-E, vinyl frame awning window.
Awning windows are more energy efficient because there is only one seal. This means that when properly closed, the window seals completely to prevent outdoor air from coming inside.
This Bahama style shutter offers both aesthetic value and functionality. Unlike many traditional shutters on homes, this is a functional hurricane shutter that can be easily closed and secured before a storm to protect the window from the impact of flying debris.
