Louisiana FFA members earn honors at national event

(11/03/22) BATON ROUGE, La. — Louisiana FFA members brought home several honors from competitive events at the 95th National FFA Convention and Expo in Indianapolis Oct. 26 to 29.

Kaleb LeMoine, of Elton, was a finalist for a national officer position, advancing to the second phase of the selection process.

LeMoine along with four other FFA members were granted American FFA Degrees. The other recipients are Bailey Sandel, Taylor Richardson, Katelynn Sargent, all of Florien, and Luke Vice, of Sulphur.

Honorary American FFA Degrees were given to Luke Laborde and Joey Blackburn, both of the LSU AgCenter.

The Crowley, Lakeview, Ponchatoula and St. Amant FFA chapters earned three-star chapter status. East Ascension, Varnado and West Ouachita were named two-star chapters.
