Registration Time: 9:30 a.m. – 10:00 a.m.

Show Time: 10:00 a.m.

Show Rules:

• Parents must remain at the Pet Show to chaperone their 4-H’er and pets.
• All pets must be under the 4-H members’ control at all times.
  • Please bring only animals you can easily control because your pet will be around other animals and people. Do not bring aggressive pets.
  • All pets must be on a secure leash, in a cage, in a box, or in a fish bowl.
• Each 4-H member may bring up to two (2) pets, one (1) per class.
  • The only exception to this rule is fish sharing the same bowl and birds sharing the same cage.
• Dogs and cats must be 6 months of age or older and must have on a rabies collar and be up to date on all shots.
• Only 4-H members and their pets will be allowed in the judging area.
• All 4-H’ers must clean up after their pets.

No pens, cages, etc. will be provided. You must bring your own

Parents can bring lawn chairs

Classes

• Class 1: Birds
• Class 2: Cats
• Class 3: Dogs – Small (0 – 20 pounds)
• Class 4: Dogs – Medium (21 – 40 pounds)
• Class 5: Dogs – Large (41 pounds and up)
• Class 6: Fish, Amphibians & Reptiles
• Class 7: Rabbits, Guinea Pigs, Mice, Hamsters, Gerbils & Other Rodents
• Class 8: Unusual Pet (may be any domestic pet, not listed in any other category. No animals found in the wild are permitted.)
• Class 9: I Wish Pet
• Class 10: 4-H Fun Events

I Wish Pet Class Information

This class is for those 4-H members who would love to have their own pet but for some reason cannot. You are allowed to enter one stuffed animal or toy animal. If you enter a “real” pet, you cannot enter this class

• A pet may enter up to two (2) events.
• Pets must be entered in the pet show in order to participate in this class.
