Fishing Tournament

The 4-H Fishingsport Project, allows 4-H members to learn about fish species and habitats, experiment with fishing gear, baits, and lures, tie knots, lines, and flies, research fishing regulations, and explore fishing careers. The East Feliciana 4-H Program is pleased to announce the inaugural Fishing Tournament.

Who's Eligible to Participate: Enrolled East Feliciana 4-H members in grades 4 through 12

Rules:

  • Fish must be caught between April 10 – 24, 2022, and must be submitted using the online submission portal by April 24, 2022, at 11:59 p.m. No Late Entries will be Accepted!
  • Submission must include the following photographs of the biggest catch
    • Photo of the 4-H member with their whole fish.
    • Photo of the fish with its length measured by using a tape measurer, the ruler on top of the cooler, or other rulers of choice.
    • Photo of the fish on a scale showing the weight of the fish. It can be a hanging fish scale, a kitchen scale, or a bathroom scale.
  • Only complete entries will be considered.
  • Only one (1) entry per 4-H member is allowed.
  • Fish must be caught in Louisiana waters.
  • 4-H members must be the ones who catch the fish
  • 4-H members must follow all state requirements for fishing license and permits, and creel and size limits. Visit the Louisiana Wildlife & Fisheries Seasons and Regulations web page for more information.
