A former St. Charles Parish 4-H member, Mrs. Trishan Charles is leader of the St. Charles Parish 4-H CHEF ﴾Cooking, Healthy Eating, and Fitness﴿ Club. For 4 years, she has provided youth with hands-on education on healthy living through interactive cooking demonstrations and fitness activities. She has given her time and talents to 4‐H Camp for 12 years and 4‐H University for 8 years, and continues to chaperone 4‐H Camp, 4‐H Regional Challenge Camp, and 4‐H University. Trishan is an active member of the St. Charles Parish 4‐H Advisory Leadership Council and a member of the Louisiana 4‐H Volunteer Leaders Association, currently serving as Southeast Regional Representative. Trishan has attended the VLA Conference and regional volunteer leader trainings, making her best better through 4‐H leadership. Each year, Trishan is recognized as an Outstanding 4‐H Club Leader at the annual St. Charles 4‐H Volunteer Leader Banquet with a Certificate of Recognition and a gift of appreciation. In addition to serving as a 4‐H club leader and volunteer, Trishan serves as a tutor, for which she has been recognized at her local Church Fresh Faith Family Worship Center. As a caring and trusted adult, Trishan lends a listening ear and serves as a positive role model for St. Charles youth, especially in their time of need, such as when feeling homesick or preparing for demonstrations, contests and State Board interviews.
