St. Landry and Pointe Coupee Parish 4-H will be hosting a day camp for 4th-6th grade 4-H members on Wednesday, June 16, 2021 at the Pointe Coupee Parish Multi-Use Facility located in New Roads, Louisiana. We will need 6 counselors (9th-12th grade) to assist with activities that day. If you are interested, please complete application below.
4-H University contests will be held throughout the month of June 2021 at LSU Baton Rouge and Alexandria. The overall event is being structured as a “come and go” event due to COVID-19 transportation and lodging restrictions. Contestants will be allowed to travel in on their contest day and leave after the completion of the presentation/contest.
4-H’ers in 8th-12th grade can participate. Contact me to receive an application if you are interested in competing in a contest. A meeting, to discuss 4-H U, will be held at 4:00 p.m. at the 4-H Office on Wednesday, April 21, 2021. Opportunities are also available to apply for a state board or run for a state office or regional representative position. Talk to 4-H Agents if you are interested in applying.
The April Junior Leader Club Meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, April 21, 2021. The meeting will start at 5:00pm following the 4-H University meeting. At this meeting; service project updates and educational program.
In order to be a counselor, you must have completed camp counselor training and be at least 15 years old. Camp Counselor training is divided into 2 parts (3 hours online training and 3 hours in-person training.) The online training must be completed before the in-person training. Those in grades 8-12th grade can be trained.

The sixteenth annual 4-H Day at the Capitol is set for Wednesday, May 26, 2021. This virtual event will include legislative interviews, a Facebook Live event highlighting what’s happening at the Capitol and an interactive activity from the Day at the Capitol in a Box.
