During the 2020-2021 school year, Louisiana 4-H will continue to provide Cloverbud lessons with a focus on agricultural Literacy. At least 20 parishes have been provided lessons on Louisiana agriculture such as cotton, home gardening, forestry, soil science, poultry science and commodities.
Approximately 2,178 of second to third grade youths from 18 Louisiana parishes participated in at least six hours of club programming provided by classroom teachers, parent volunteers or 4-H Club agents. A series of six lessons was taught about individuality, diversity decision-making and more.
Youths were encouraged to consider different viewpoints and to accept and value each person in their club. Youths were challenged to explore how they were both different and the same as their peers through group discussions, small group activities and sharing new information with their families.
