Michelle Puissegur, Acadia
Mrs. Puissegur has served Louisiana 4-H for over 49 years. She has served as a Club Leader, Chaperone, State and Parish Judge, Cloverbud Club Leader, Acadia 4-H foundation member, 4-H Camp, 4-H University, and Challenge Camp volunteer, as well as many other roles.
Her former 4-H members describe her as “a role model who exemplified what it is like to be a leader” who is always willing to help out whether staying up late or after school to help with project and records books or studying for contest days.
In addition to being honored annually with many awards through her parish 4-H program, Mrs. Puissegur is known as the Record book expert for over 20 years and has trained many state record book winners.
Throughout her 49 years of service, Mrs. Puissegur had touched the lives of countless 4-H members, staff, and other volunteers. A teacher in the state for over 34 years, Mrs. Puissegur is always willing to go beyond the typical call of duty.
