Melissa Echols

Melissa Echols, Lincoln Parish

Mrs. Melissa Echols started her 4-H career in 1983 as a 4-H member and has gone on to serve 4-H as a volunteer since 2006. A current Shooting Sports Instructor, Mrs. Echols has performed numerous roles with 4-H including a Union Parish Junior Leader, 4-H Camp Counselor, Photography Project Advisor, Archery Parent Volunteer, Scholarship and Records Training Leader, a Scholarship Judge, Parish 4-H Foundation Treasurer, 4-H Advisory Council Member, as well as numerous other roles.

In addition to being honored with numerous awards as a volunteer leader, Mrs. Echols has impacted 4-H youth on the parish, regional, and state levels. Her efforts have led 4-H youth to become award winners in numerous areas, including record books, photography, outdoor skills, local and state hunting skills contests, and several scholarships.

Mrs. Echols has led and assisted with many service initiatives over the years, from recycling projects to Christmas Cards and Comfort Kits for St. Jude.
