4-H Gratitude Challenge

2020 has not been an easy year, but we still have plenty of reasons to gives thanks. Take part in the 4-H Gratitude Challenge and complete each daily task to help show your gratitude to your Club, Community, Country, and World. Tag us on social media of you completing the task.

4-H Gratitude Challenge

4-H Shooting Sports

We are excited about re-establishing the 4-H Shooting Sports Program. This year, we will be offering both Archery & Shotgun. If you are interested in participating be sure to complete registration form and submit your fees associated with your respective discipline. This program is open to 4-H members only! The first Archery Practice is November .24, 2020 at 10:00 a.m.

East Feliciana 4-H Shooting Sports

Become a 4-H Shooting Sports Instructor

Volunteers play a critical part of the entire 4-H Program and Shooting Sports is no different. Volunteer become positive role models for youth while teaching about environmental ethics, outdoor recreation, wildlife and personal safety.

In order to become a certified Shooting Sports Instructor you must complete required training in the respective discipline.

The Louisina 4-H Shooting Sports Program will be conducting the following Level 1 trainings:

  • Nov. 21: Air Rifle, BB, Rifle, Shotgun
  • Nov. 21-22: Hunting Skills
  • Dec. 12: Air Pistol, Pistol, Archery, Coordinator, Muzzle Loading

All trainings will take place at Grant Walker 4-H Educational Center, 3000 Hwy 8, Pollock, LA 71467. Training cost is $50 and will be reimbursed once verified volunteers have attended the training.

Holiday Wreath Decorating Contest

Spread the holiday cheer and participate in the inaugural East Feliciana 4-H Holiday Wreath Decorating Contest. This is open to both 4-H and Cloverbud members. All wreaths entered will be donated to elderly residents of East Feliciana Parish.

Livestock Update

Parish Show Entries

All parish show entry forms are due November 20, 2020 to Mr. Xavier. This is new this year, but it will distinguish what animal(s) you will be bringing to parish, district and state as this is not a qualifying show.

Districk Livestock Show Entries

All entry forms are due to the 4-H Office by Dec. 4th by 4:30 p.m.


District Entry Fees

The following are entry fees for the District Livestock Show. Entry fees are to paid to the East Feliciana 4-H Office by Dec. 4th and checks and money orders should be payable to the East Feliciana 4-H Foundation.

  • Beef, Dairy, Goats, Sheep & Swine - $15/per animal
  • Rabbits - $7/per rabbit
  • Rabbit Meat Pen - $12/per pen
  • Exhibition Birds - $7/per bird (no limit)
  • Broiler Pen - $12/per pen (max-2 pens)

Senior Honor Cords

Graduating seniors, apply to receive a 4-H Honor Cord that you can wear during your commencement! In order to receive an honor cord, you must meet the following requirements:

  • Be an enrolled 4-H Member and in good standing
  • Must be a graduating senior
  • Must have been enrolled in 4-H for at least 3 years of their high school career
  • Must have participated in at least one state sponsored 4-H program in the past 3 years, or demonstrated exemplary parish-level program involved.

Complete the online application by Friday, Jan. 29, 2021

Southeast Region Challenge Camp

Are you wondering what you can do next after 4‑H Summer Camp? Well the answer is attend the Southeast Region Challenge Camp! This camping opportunity to open to 7th and 8th grade 4-H members. During this camp, participants will complete various challenges, enhancing their critical thinking, teamwork, and communication skills.

The 2020 Southeast Region 4-H Challenge Camp will be held Saturday, December 5, 2020 at City Park in New Orleans, LA and the cost to attend is $15. Deadline to submit your registration form is Thursday, November 12.
