The Smart Portions program is now available through online classes. Smart Portions is a healthy weight management program geared to helping people make lifestyle choices. The Smart Portions program will help you become more mindful of what you are eating while getting encouragement from other participants to stay on the right track.
Smart Portions teaches participants how to modify recipes, learn the
benefits of exercise, get in touch with emotional eating, to identify stress
eating habits, learn tips on how to make smart choices when eating away from
home, and learn nutrition essentials. It is never too late to learn how to make
wise food choices. The program addresses how to change your eating behaviors,
we talk about how stress may induce eating, how to make changes to your
favorite recipes, learn what your body fat index says about you, exercise, and
how to read labels.
Smart Portions teaches participants to become aware of skills and tools
that can help to achieve and maintain a healthy weight, realize that good
health greatly depends on lifestyle habits and to never diet again, but rather
focus on making healthy choices every day.
