LA Soybean Crop Progress and Condition Week of August 10, 2020

The USDA reports 100% of the Louisiana soybean crop has entered the reproductive growth stage while 5% of the crop has matured. As of August 9, 2% of the soybean crop had been harvested. Statewide, the condition of the soybean crop dropped to 86% good – excellent. However, the rating of good – excellent has been at least 85% for the previous six weeks. Light and sparse rains were reported for the week. A late season rain or irrigation could help fill out the pods.

Louisiana Soybean Harvest Survey

A survey to track harvest progress and yield will be sent out weekly through the LSU AgCenter soybean text group. The survey will include the parish, soybean variety, number of acres, and yield.
