2019 4-H Beekeeping Essay

The Foundation for the Preservation of Honey Bees, Inc. has announced it’s 2019 National 4-H Beekeeping Essay Competition theme: “Honey Varietals, State to State.”

State entries for the 4-H Beekeeping Essay Competition are due February 1, 2019.

To submit a 4-H Beekeeping Essay, 4-H members or 4-H Agents need to fill out the online form by following this link. (Click Here)

The online form has four steps:

Section 1: Student Information

Section 2: Biographical Sketch

Section 3: Essay

Section 4: Submission

Once the 4-H beekeeping essay and required information are submitted, you will be notified to approve the essay.

Please complete this task by:

  • Clicking the “Review Submission” link
    • After clicking the link, the applicant’s submission form will open.
  • You will be able to view the applicant’s submission information and essay.
    • The essay can be viewed by clicking a download link within the form.
  • Approve
    • If the applicant is approved for scoring, please select the “Send to Scoring” button found at the bottom of the submission form.
  • Disqualify
    • If you wish to disqualify the submission, click the “Reject Submission” button and enter a message.
  • The applicant will receive a notification email along with your message.

Once you have approved the link, the essay will be available for a panel of judges to score the essays online.
