Mrs. Andrea Alday began her journey with 4-H as a volunteer back in 1993, when all 6 of her children became involved in the program. She has since served in many capacities in her 24 plus years within 4-H. She has served as 4-H leader of the St. Charles Parish Jr. Leader Club, served as a 4-H judge for several parish contests, and has been an active part of the state Volunteer Leaders Association having served as their Vice President. Additionally, she is credited with having established the St. Charles Parish 4-H Cloverbud Community Club which she meets with members monthly to provide younger 4-Hers fun and educational experiences.

Andrea has regularly been recognized as an outstanding 4-H club leader at the annual parish volunteer leader banquet. She has also been presented with certificates of recognition along with gifts of appreciation for her dedication to the 4-H youth development program as an organizational leader.

Andrea is an advocate for 4-H and truly has a heart to serve children. She not only volunteers with 4-H, but she is a tutor for special needs children and volunteers regularly with Boy Scouts. She continues to actively recruit others (including her own family!) by telling her own stories and experiences with 4-H. 4-H is a family affair for Andrea and she claims that, “Seeing your kids pass it on is the most rewarding experience.”
