Guidelines for testing forest nutritional health

Forests often grow on soils with sub-optimal soil nutrition, which reduces their growth potential and health. There are effective, affordable techniques for testing the nutritional status of forests, particularly southern pine forests. In this extension bulletin, guidelines for collecting soil and/or leaf samples for testing and for interpreting lab results to understand the nutritional status of southern pine forests.
