St. Tammany Teachers' Inservice

On March 18 and 19, teachers in St.Tammany Parish met in Mandeville to pick up their YWW curriculum binders and lesson materials. They also received an overview of the program from program manager David Latona and participated in a hands-on demonstration of lessons conducted by AWCC AmeriCorps members Gary Decossas and Aaron Gelfand. Teachers were encouraged to have their students participate in the America's Wetland campaigns "Eye on the Prize" art, photo and essay contests that promote local wetland restoration activities.
