The Caddo 4-H program was really busy this year with multiple service-learning projects that included nursing home visits, preparing military care packages and holding recycling drives.
Caddo 4-H'ers conducted their holiday nursing home visit and brought along gift bags for the elderly, delivered handmade cards and performed a caroling session. To support the state service-learning focus, Caddo 4-H'ers made over 500 cards and 2,500 care packages to support our women and men overseas and held a Veterans Day program to recognize the veterans in their community.
Caddo 4-H joined the green movement with recycling drives while inviting speakers from the City of Shreveport, the Shreveport Green Organization and Billy Hummer, a bee expert, to come share with them.
Caddo had a busy year making the best better!
