EFNEP helped families meet the overall objective of the program of improving the nutritional value of diets of disadvantaged families, especially those with young children. Participation in EFNEP improved the nutritional value of homemakers’ and their families’ diets.
The goal of EFNEP is for families and individuals to follow the recommended dietary and physical fitness guidelines and to adopt preventive health practices to achieve a healthy life span.
