Hurricanes and floods destroy homes and drastically reduce personal incomes. For many, rebuilding will require more money than they'll get from disaster recovery funds and insurance.

In order to restore or rebuild your home, you will need to rebuild your savings account first. If you have an income, there are some things you can do to manage your money and spend it more carefully.
