Mexican Rice Borer - Eoreuma loftini (Dyar)
Mexican rice borer larva (approx. 4th instar) on a split sugarcane stalk. As the larvae bore into the stem or stalk, they pack tunnels with frass, which prevents the entry of predators or parasites.
