St. Martin 4-H Ambassadors
The ability to express oneself and speak before a group is a life skill that a group of St. Martin Parish 4-H members practiced during the parish Commodity Ambassador competition Tuesday January 29, 2008. Presenting illustrated talks on the Louisiana agricultural commodities of seafood and poultry, they discussed the production, processing or marketing of the product, food preparation and nutritive value, or food safety related to the commodity. Division winners in each category will represent St. Martin Parish 4-H at the state competition to be held April 22 in Baton Rouge. Judges for the event were Nikki Lemaire, Lisa Benoit and Gerald Janise.
